REASONS FOR BECOMING A MEMBER OF THE FEDERATION
- Members will be supporting a charitable organisation that aims to provide improved sports
and leisure activities for the whole community making Ross a better place to live for local residents and visitors, as well
attracting more investment by businesses. The development of more sporting and leisure facilities will particularly benefit
the younger element who at present have limited options available.
- Clubs wishing to expand,
or improve existing facilities, will be able to call on the
Federation to help with raising funds. As a community-based
organisation, with reputable directors and charitable status,
the Federation will have opportunities for fund-raising that may
not be available to individual clubs.
-
Members will have an
opportunity to give their views on both short-term and long-term
projects proposed by the board.. There will be a members “page”
on the Federation’s website that will provide a discussion forum
as well as news of special events and regular fixtures.
-
A directory of existing sporting and leisure clubs will
be produced by the Federation. A printed copy will be distributed
throughout the town so that local residents and visitors can check
what is available. The directory will also be included on the
Federation website, so that it can be updated on a regular basis and
also be accessed via the Internet. (Inclusion in the directory is
free to anyone providing the relevant details, but it will be
beneficial if some contribution is made to help cover costs).
